Great post! I loved it. I’ll wait till Canon decides to combine the two cameras together to make on super camera. Then maybe it might compare to the D700.

this is so hilarious…like incensed adolph here, i too have read nearly every forum, searched every conversion ware…yet though i need a dslr for film possibilities, i still want a 5dmarkII…
i am hanging my head, defeated even before the battle begun. i curse canon for making it so difficult for video artists wanting their own cameras but not able to purchase xdcam ex and having to make this choice between 5dmarkII and 7d!!!!!!!!!!

Hilarious video. But will the 5dmii upgrade (scheduled for sometime in the first half of 2010) put its video capabilities on par with those of the 7d?

No idea but I dont see why it would not. The only reason why they would keep it away from the 5D would be for product differentiation.
