This is a really outstanding tutorial. I have seen humdreds of web vids about DSLR film making, but none go into the nitty gritty of HOW to use a DSLR like this one does. I've had a 5D2 for some years but until I saw your vid I did not really know the 5D2's video functions (sorry, Canon, your official manual is trash!). And here are some ideas to improve it, if I may:
1) Cleaner better-lit footage; I can hardly see what your doing.
2) When you say "press this button", let us see what button your talking about; I cannot see any of the buttons you are pressing on top of the camera body.
3) Go a bit slower to let us absorb one point before proceeding to another point; we're beginners, remember!
4) Don't only explain HOW to do such-and-such; also explain WHY and WHEN to do such-and-such. This is something most web tutorials miss.
5) Please make this into a three-hour seminar and post it as purchasable training content - I'd happily pay for content that really instructs.
Thnaks much!

mhm... i can't follow your calculations regarding hd-video.
16x9 crop would mean that with a 4x3 sensor you theretically have 1920x1440... 1920*1440*3*3 =24883200
and 1920*1440*4*4=44236800.
so 24.9 and 44.2 MP ... and not 22MP and 39MP

Well to be honest, you can use it, but its not same material as Sensor Swabs. But if you are careful and don't touch it with your hands, they do their job. Just first blow out bigger particles of dust if any, with clean dust blower, so you don't damage your sensor with dust and Pec Pads. Do it in clean room, in good light condition, if you have to do it on your own I would recommend Sensor Swabs or other recommended tool for cleaning sensor on Mark II camera. At last if you are not sure about it go to somebody who will guarantee for that work, to be more honest I would not risk $2000 + cam for $50-$60.

Has anyone used the PEC pads on a 5D Mk II. Ive used them successfully on my 40D but saw an article sometime ago that suggested they might damage the 5DmkII sensor and have been too afraid to try it.

vikta, thanks for great comment. Just to let you know, we will cover post production of photography, what happens after shots, "how to tutorials" for Lightroom and PS ...

Btw I just recently saw amazing shoots from photographer that has 350D, and I was amazed, and only thing that cross my mind was, how he made it and why I didn't do it so. Just keep learning and don't give up ;)
